17 homemade gifts for crafters

My boyfriend’s mother is a keen crafter, enjoying crochet, knitting and quilting and with Christmas coming up, I’m just not sure what to give her. She probably has everything she needs and I know my Mum always loved receiving handmade gifts, of any kind. I’ve been trawling Pinterest and have come up with a few options I’d like to share. As usual, I’ve left it until the last minute so I better pull my finger out and get busy. With my children’s birthdays both in November, end of school Christmas activities and the usual hustle and bustle of Christmas, you’d think I’d know by now to start doing these things a little earlier in the year! Here are 17 gifts for crafters.

Hopefully these will give you a few ideas. There are so many different ideas for embroidery and pin cushions. The above just touches on all the beautiful crafts on Pinterest. Here’s hoping you’re not like me and left it until the last minute, as usual! Happy crafting!

28 homemade Christmas presents for children's friends

Last week I shared with you 21 homemade Christmas presents to make for teachers and I gather you’ve already made them, like me (*cough, cough*). Here are 28 homemade Christmas presents for children’s friends for you and the kids to make for their school friends, Scout and Guide friends, team mates etc.

My children usually get given a candy cane or a lovely card, which they’re really grateful for but I like to make something a little different. I leave it up to them what they choose and we create it together. And with 2 weeks school vacation here in Australia upon us, why not get the kids involved now in preparing these gifts as much in advance as possible so its not so much of a rush in the last week of school.
