Everyone’s busy, right? We go to work, are a stay at home parent, cook, clean, wash, get the kids off to school and be involved in their extracurricular activities. We’re all so busy, all the time! Let’s not forget grocery shopping, packing it away, coming up with ideas on how to cook it so the whole family will enjoy it and then sitting down to eat it. That whole process in itself is a big task. What if I told you could take the guess work out of what to buy and cook in just 5 minutes?

Let me introduce you to The 5 Minute Meal Plan!
What is it?

Long before people started suggesting that meal planning was going to make your life easier, women around the world, for hundreds, if not thousands of years, were able to come up with what they were going to eat in about 5 minutes flat.
My mother did it. My grandmothers did it and their mothers etc etc. Cooks of the house knew exactly what was food was in the house and were able to think quickly about how they were going to prepare it.
When staple ingredients were getting low, they bought in more or sourced alternatives until they were able to get more. Things like your basic flour, sugar, coffee, tea, etc.
The 5 Minute Meal Plan is exactly that. Five minutes to plan what you’re having based on what food is in your home.
Why is it better than Meal Planning?
Firstly, who’s got time for meal planning? I’ve tried it, many times. You take out some time from your weekend, look through magazines or cookbooks for recipes that are appetising or you know your family will eat, write down the recipe and then create your shopping list from what you need and look at what you’ve still got in the house.
Sure, that might work for some people but why create extra work for yourself?
The best part about using The 5 Minute Meal Plan is that you save money on groceries!
It’s like running your kitchen like a restaurant. Think about it.
- They have a menu.
- The stock the ingredients to make the meals on the menu.
- When the ingredients are getting low, the buy more.
- They buy ingredients on special and in season to create better profit margins.
- If an ingredient is getting close to it’s use by date, they’ll offer a ‘special of the day’.
- They ensure that ingredients are stored properly to get the most out of them without spoiling.
This is all our grandmothers did. This is all you have to do.
How does it work?
The 5 Minute Meal Plan is a workbook in the form of an instantly downloadable ebook that takes you through the process step by step. You only have to do it once and then plan what you’re going to eat for each meal in just 5 minutes.
You choose when you’re going to plan your meal. I plan my meals either the night before or in the morning. This allows you to defrost any meat, soak any beans etc, prepare as much as you can so getting the meal on the table is a breeze and prepare any accompaniments.
You’ll find you won’t waste food either planning meals this way. Often, when we meal plan, we buy the ingredients specifically for a dish we want to create without realising we may already have that ingredient or something that could be substituted.
The other thing is your family menu, just like a restaurants, doesn’t really differ from month to month. Especially if you have children, trying to get them to eat something exotic and new is like ‘getting blood from a stone’ so why not stick to what you know they will eat.

How does it save you money?
You only stock the ingredients for those meals you know your family will eat. Simple as that.
The best part is, because you’ve got a fully stocked pantry, fridge or freezer, you’ll find that you can create so many other different variations of those same meals.
For example, if your family likes Chicken Stir Fry, with a simple sauce of say soy, honey and garlic, you could always change the sauce to something like a Satay Sauce made from soy, peanut butter, coconut milk and garlic. Or a Thai flavoured sauce because you have the Thai curry paste in the pantry for another meal you make. Keeping peanut butter and Thai curry paste on hand all the time will allow you to create so many different recipes instead of if you only bought that one jar of ready made Soy, Honey & Garlic Stir Fry Sauce.
You only buy in season too. You’ll find you only really need to change your menu twice a year. Once for the summer months and one for the winter months. You can eat salad all year round but to get the most bang for your buck when it comes to buying fresh produce, buying the root vegetables for hearty winter stews and salad vegetables for light summer salads will give you the best produce for the season and the best possible price.
Grab The 5 Minute Meal Plan now
The 5 Minute Meal Plan is available right here for instant download. It will take you through the whole process, step by step with worksheets to create your inventory lists from which you’ll create your shopping list.
You only have to do a bit of work in deciding which meals your family eats and you like to cook and what the ingredients are in each of those meals. The whole process would take you possibly a day and then you never need to worry about it again.
Each night, before you go to bed, or every morning, you decide what you’re having for dinner. Pull the meat out of the freezer, prep as much as you can and cook it at dinner time. Easy!
The best part about this whole process is you aren’t restricted to what you eat on particular days like you would with traditional meal planning. Traditional meal planning? Well, I call this way of doing things traditional. Honestly our grandmothers were very clever at making light work of their chores and this was the best way to do it. Trust me. I’ve been doing it for years.
I hope you give The 5 Minute Meal Plan a go and make your job easier.
