If you know me, I’m very much a cook from scratch kind of person so when I saw these Super Nature Foods Frozen Meals on sale half price recently, I was reluctant to try a ready made meal but thought I’d give them a try. Keep reading for a Super Nature Foods Frozen Meals Review.
As a stay at home, working mother, I normally have whatever’s going for lunch. It could be a sandwich, leftovers, crackers and toppings or sometimes nothing.
A healthy alternative
These Super Nature Super Foods Wellness Bowls are just the ticket for a quick, healthy lunch on the run and instead of buying takeaway.
Whether you work outside the home, are a stay at home parent, a new Mum or elderly and don’t cook much, I highly recommend these Super Nature bowls as a back up in your freezer.
If only they were around when I became a mother. They are so quick to heat up from frozen, they tasteamazing, are low in calories but high in nutrition and really good ingredients. Also, they are preservative and additive free
They were recently on special again for half price (which works out to $3.15 per meal). I don’t think you could make a meal as healthy as these for that price. There are so many amazing, delicious varieties to choose from. You could be eating a different cuisine every day of the week.
Chicken Pad Thai with Rice Noodles

I had the Chicken Pad Thai with Rice Noodles and this is what the description is on the box:
Tender slow cooked chicken pieces in a Thai-inspired sauce with mesquite, served with rice noodles, mixed with bean shoots, spinach, capsicum, egg and edamame beans, topped with pepita seeds.
It tasted very authentic. The chicken and sauce mixture was separate from the noodles so needed an extra minute of cooking compared to the noodles. It was ready in 5 minutes and tasted very authentic. You could taste the fish sauce like a good Thai dish should plus with the addition of tamarind and lemongrass you couldn’t have got better at a Thai restaurant.
The calories for this 350gm serve were 399 (1670kJ) with 17.5gm of protein, 8.8g of fat (2.1g being saturated fat), 62.0g carbohydrates (13.0g of those are sugars) and 990mg of sodium. The sodium content in this particular meal is just over the recommended daily allowance in Australia so just reduce your salt intake for the rest of the day if you do have this meal.
Although it may have been on the small size for a man for lunch, it was just perfect for me. It was quick and easy to heat in the microwave and I felt full afterwards and felt like I’d had something healthy and tasty to eat for lunch.
Slow Cooked Lamb Ragu with Wholemeal Pappardelle

This was another meal I tried recently. I don’t think I could’ve made better myself. (And how much is the price of lamb these days?)
Succulent slow cooked lamb ragu served with al dente wholemeal pappardelle pasta topped with a hearty Italian ragu sauce, made with black garlic, capsicum, spinach and Mediterranean black olives.
The nutrition information for this meal was only 325 calories (1360kJ, 18.8g protein, 10.2g fat (2.8g saturated fat), 38.1g carbohydrates (6.2g being sugars) and 641mg of sodium.
Of all the meals I’ve tried, I don’t think I’ve come across one I didn’t like. Every ingredient is wholemeal or wholegrain. Super Nature use only the freshest, real ingredients (so no processed chicken or meat, just the real deal). Ancient grains like quinoa, freekeh and different kinds of rice and pasta to suit the dish.
There are three types of meals to choose from; ‘Meals’, ‘Wellness Bowls’ and ‘Super Pulses’. They are normally priced around $6.30 per meal which is still really great value in my opinion for something so delicious and so healthy.
If you can factor the price of these meals into your grocery budget, you’ll save yourself money on other lunch ingredients and still enjoy a tasty, quick, healthy meal for lunch.
