Review: Mitsubishi Mirage LS Sedan

Since I’ve been blogging I’ve been given some wonderful opportunities and one such opportunity recently presented itself when I was asked to test drive the new Mitsubishi Mirage LS Sedan for a week, thanks to Kids Business and Mitsubishi Motors.

The brand new Mirage sedan is the compact sedan your
family has been waiting for.  It is affordable
and fun to drive, with great manoeuvrability, ‘best in class’ fuel efficiency, 5
star ANCAP safety rating and seating for five adults. Mirage sedan provides
outstanding value for money (“The best sedan money can buy – for this amount
of money.”

according to CarsGuide) without compromising on standard features,
latest technology and safety.  Mirage
sedan is equipped with a choice of three
tether anchorage points and two Isofix hooks and will let you fit two child
seats easily.

I collected the new car from the Motorama Springwood Mitsubishi dealership and was handed the keys by Craig Luhrs, the friendly New Car Sales Manager.  I already own a Mitsubishi Lancer and was keen to see how the new Mirage compared.  I was pleasantly surprised by the car’s road handling, push button start, roomy boot space and efficient fuel economy. The fuel gauge barely moved for the entire week I drove it.

The smart interior features all the bells and whistles without overloading you with “what does that button do”. I just need a vehicle to get me from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’, in comfort and as efficiently as possible. I don’t have to time to bother with a lot of different buttons.  The Mirage has a great sounding stereo system which is just what you need to pump up after you’ve dropped the kids off at school.

There is heaps of leg room in the back seat and the kids loved the novelty of driving around in a brand new car for the week.
Some of the standard features included in this model are:
  • Value for money at only AU$16,485* drive away
  • Best in class for fuel economy with 4.9 litres per 100 kilometres
  • 5 star ANCAP safety rating
  • Spacious interior and roomy boot to hold suitcases and beach gear for a weekend away
  • Plenty of cup holders both in the front and rear
  • Climate control air conditioning
  • Key-less operating system with one-touch start system

The only thing the model I drove didn’t have which my current Mitsubishi Lancer has is cruise control which I would definitely look at getting for a little extra if I was to upgrade to the Mirage. It’s a great little runabout and with all the ferrying I have to do with the kids, it’s the best value for money car on the market for me at the moment.

Not too big.  Not too small. Find your happy medium.

THE MIRAGE SEDAN IS DESIGNED FOR FAMILIES LOOKING FOR AFFORDABILITY AND VALUE FOR MONEY WITHOUT COMPROMISING ON STANDARD FEATURES, LATEST TECHNOLOGY, SAFETY AND SPACE. FOR MORE INFORMATION VISIT THE MIRAGE SEDAN SHOWROOM HERE.
