Welcome my lovely THRiVERS to a special ANZAC Day edition of Thriving on Thursdays. For my overseas THRiVERS, its Australia's equivalent of Veteran's Day in the USA and a time our nation commemorates the day the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZACs) stormed the beaches of Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 only to come under enemy fire from the Turks. Many lives were lost. There were many acts of bravery. Most of the soldiers were young, volunteers who were proud to serve the Empire and their country. It is a day, we as Australians, remember all who served in this and every campaign Australian military have been involved in. The day is steeped in tradition with a dawn service (the time the soldiers landed on the beach at Gallipoli) to a march of veterans and their descendants. My daughter is marching with her Cub Scout Pack. An honour and a privilege. Lest we forget.
And now on to last week's linky. A lot of great projects and recipes linked up. A very warm welcome to the newbies. It's a real pleasure to have you here. Here are my top 3 food and non food related posts from last week.
