Welcome to another Thriving on Thursdays linky party. I wish I was a little more enthusiastic but I'm suffering from a bad cold. Its just a virus but it went to my chest and I had asthmatic symptoms and had trouble breathing. I now have steroids to take and hope after my fourth day, I'll start to be on the mend. I can't believe after only one week of back to school, the germs are being shared around. We've only got three weeks of summer left and then autumn and winter will be here and the onslaught of winter colds and flus. If you've got any immunity boosting secrets, I'd love to hear them. Now, onto last week's party. What a fantastic party it was with so many wonderful posts linked up. I had a hard time picking my top 3. So, here are my top 3 food related and non food related posts from last week.

Hi Anne, I wanted to try the homemade liquid soap project but was too chicken to try. Does it really work? Thanks for the party!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I've known of people making their own liquid soap for years, from many different recipes. What I've learnt (without personally trying because of time and not being organised enough to purchase those ingredients) is that it doesn't have a lot of suds or bubbles, you can add essential oils to add a scent but it always gets the clothes clean and it's kind to the hip pocket, if you know what I mean. LOL I really should make it my business to try this year as I go through a lot of soap powder but I do buy it cheaply so its within my budget.xx

Hi Anne,
ReplyDeleteWe had nasty respiratory infections in this part of the world too. My son had a cough for 6 weeks and had to use an inhaler to sleep... so sorry you are ill. Take care and you'll get to rest with the kids back to school.
My homemade Chai Tea always helps me when I am ill:
