Tip: Buying books online

If you like to buy books online, check out this Australian web site, Booko. This website compares all the popular online book web sites and gives you the cheapest option. I use it all the time.

For example, the latest book "Steve Jobs" by Walter Isaacson is available for $27.33 including postage from Better World Books.

In comparison:

  • from Big W is $26.93 (with an additional $4.00 for postage)
  • from Dymocks is $34.99 (with an additional $6.50 for postage)
Some considerable savings to be had. If you see your favourite book online or in store, check out Booko first before you purchase.

We buy kid's books through book order they bring home from school but for the most part we borrow books from the library. I do like buying the kids books for Christmas though!
