There's one sure fire way those children's TV show producers and kid's movie producers can get parents to like the shows and allow the kids to watch them and that's to make the soundtrack or theme songs catchy. There are some that drive me absolutely batty like "Dora" (thank goodness my daughter never really got into it), some songs in "Yo Gabba Gabba" and many others. But there are a few that get my hips a-wiggling and my toes a-tapping.
1. "Life is a Highway" - Cars by Rascal Flatts
2. "Hot Lava" - Jake & the Neverland Pirates by Never Land Pirate Band
3. "Believe" - Barbie & the Diamond Castle by Kellie Sheridan
4. "You've Got A Friend in Me" (Spanish) - Toy Story 3 by The Gypsy Kings
5. "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea" - Ponyo by (not sure)
What's your favourite? Come on. I'm sure you've all got one!
Thanks so much for coming by.
ReplyDeleteLoved hearing what pancakes are called in your area. :)
Wow, I have so much more kids tv/ movies to see. I actually like some of the theme songs for lots of ABC Kids shows. Sad I know.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite though, would have to be Kermit singing somewhere over the rainbow.
Have a great week.

We watched The Sound of Music on the weekend - the first time my 4.5yo had seen it & we've been happily singing 'The Lonely Goatherd' ever since! She's also very keen on every single song from Mary Poppins!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Mary Poppins! And Wizard of Oz! And Bedknobs and Broomsticks! All gems for great tunes!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Mia has formed a "Dora" obsession. "You've got a friend in me" would be a fave of mine too.
All time favourite is A whole new world from Aladdin (actually pretty much love the whole score of Aladdin)
ReplyDeleteHave to admit pretty much all the barbie movies get syuck in my head (my DD has Barbie sing-a-long) but it sure beats dorothy the dinosaur that was on repeat for years in my car!!!
