Hello and welcome to 2017. Happy New Year! A time to set some new goals or just keep going where you left off.

welcome to 2017 domesblissity

I was saying to my husband last night, as I reflected on 2016, that there’s nothing I would change about 2016. I probably followed through on some decisions that I regretted, work wise, but really it was just another fantastic year. Every day is fantastic now that I have my man in my life, my health, my children, my two dogs and two birds. We just take one day at a time and enjoy it to the fullest.

Coming in 2017

I feel like I should’ve been already at this point in the Domesblissity journey as I had planned all this at the start of 2016 but didn’t follow through due to taking on external paid work. In case you didn’t hear, I’m taking Domesblissity “to the streets” and sharing what I know to men and women who need a helping hand.

I want to teach people that you can have the life you deserve by making a few sacrifices along the way. How you can have a ‘happy’ home life with a few simple organisation and housework tips and tricks. How you don’t need fancy journals and planners to keep track of your life and how you can save an enormous amount of money on grocery shopping and still have a house full of food.

More Online Content

Besides sharing this face to face, I’m going to be creating online courses, ebooks and webinars along side “how to” videos and going a bit more ‘live’ on the interwebs. A lot of people know my name and what I write but not a lot of people have met me “face to face” so stay tuned for that.

I’ll be supporting my husband in his music journey and working out how he can have a more “online” presence. It’s not all about filling stadiums and touring these days in the music world. A lot can be done in the privacy of your own home and uploaded to YouTube.

My Family

My children are growing up so fast. My daughter starts high school this year so I’m sure that will bring it’s own set of challenges and new experiences for both her and I. If the last 12 years is anything to go by, the next 12 will probably fly by as well so I want to enjoy it as much as I can.

My son will be in Grade 5 and last year wasn’t a very good year for him at school.  Fingers crossed he can put all his focus into doing actual school work and not having to fight battles every day.

There’ll be all the usual after school activities like dance and Scouts which will make my life busy but I really wouldn’t want it any other way.

My Finances

My husband and I are hoping to get our first investment property this year. We both adore the beach and love the lifestyle. It’s where we’d eventually love to retire but in the meantime we couldn’t think of a better place to spend our holidays and weekends than at the beach. We are also madly in love with our two dogs and we can’t leave them anywhere so they come with us.

That’s the main reason we don’t travel anywhere. We get so much joy from being with them but at ages 16 and 14, they’re not getting any younger so we don’t know how much longer we’ll have with them so we treasure every moment we do have.

My Goals

I hope to have the Domesblissity Home Organisation business well and truly established by the end of 2017 plus a lot more online content available. I would like to think that I have helped as many people as I can to achieve their dreams of having a happy, healthy and fulfilling lifestyle as well.

I don’t like to plan too far in advance as far as my personal life goes. Waking each day, knowing what you’ve got on for the day and enjoying every minute of it is a way I’ve learnt to live my life the last couple of years. I get such a kick just being in the same room as my husband. We really enjoy each other’s company and can have a joke and laugh at just about anything. He is so sweet.

My Wish for You

To all my friends and followers who have been following me for 6 years. Yes, 6 years today. I want to wish you a very Happy New Year. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be here in this space. You are what’s kept me going. The weekly pop ins to my Thriving on Thursday linky parties, the comments on my posts and recipes and the strangers that find me through a Google search and stay along for the ride, thank you! It’s such a thrill that our paths have crossed.

I’ve heard about your deaths and marriages, your growing families, your own personal struggles and achievements. You really do feel close to me even though we’ve never met in person.

I want you all to have a fabulous 2017 and keep sharing our stories.

Best wishes to you and your families for the year.
