We’re home and we feel like we’ve been away for days. Everyone’s exhausted after being on our feet all day. I’m very proud of the kids for their good behaviour in the resort and at Seaworld. I only had to say “ssshhhhh”, “quiet” and “just wait” 100 times each! We weren’t the only ones. All the Mums and Dads were telling their children to be quiet in the resort.
I did well with the packing too. Saturday morning was such a rush. Our daughter tried out gymnastics for the first time from 9am until 10am, then I had to take the dogs to Mum’s, then it was back home to pack. I thought I did pretty well packing in just under 5 minutes. Only forgot my underwear and the memory card for the camera! Great! Didn’t forget the camera
though. Finished up having to use our mobile phones. We headed to the beach for a bit of a play in the sand before coming back to our hotel room and takeaway fish and chips.
It was a lovely day today at Seaworld. The weather was just gorgeous on the Gold Coast, the kids had heaps of rides and fun. They weren’t too interested in seeing the animals. We saw the Sea Lion show, a few dolphins, penguins, sharks etc. Seems the kids were more interested in going on the Monorail. They both fell asleep within minutes in the car on the ride home. It was takeaway pizza for dinner, they’re all snug in bed and Mum and Dad won’t be far behind them. I think it’ll take me all week to get over it.
Glad you had fun. Glad I'm not the only one that forgets stuff like her underwear.
Oh Anne, you make me homesick for the Gold Coast. I could see the Sea World Roller Coaster from my classroom window in high school (Star of the Sea..the school is now closed). Looks like you had a great day.
x Marnie
Thanks Megan. Phew! I thought I was the only one! LOL
Oh Marnie. Didn't mean to make you feel homesick. Funny you moved down there. Most of the time people are moving up here! Must've been a good job offer or love. For my husband, moving up here, it was love (or so he says). LOL
