Welcome to my very first podcast. I’ve never done it before so it was all very much a learning experience. It’s not as easy as I thought it would be. I had a few notes to prompt me but to be honest, I don’t normally need much prompting to talk. Once I get started, you usually can’t shut me up. Anyway, I thought it would be another way of communicating with my followers. So much can be learnt from the spoken word, especially somebody from another country. I love hearing how other people talk and I hope you won’t find my voice too annoying. I rambled on a bit and said a few ‘umms’ and ‘ahhs’ but I hope, with practice, I can become more fluent and, hopefully, interesting.
I have heaps to tell you. Things like how to be frugal, how to keep on top of your housework, how to cook from scratch and how to pick up a bargain or two. There’ll be heaps of homemaking advice and some wise words I’ve learnt from my parents and grandparents.
Also, if there’s anything you’d like to know about anything, please comment below and I’ll be sure to answer you in my next podcast. Oh, and big thanks to my lovely husband for helping me with the podcast recording. I’m lucky that he’s a musician and has all the recording equipment and software in his recording studio for me to use. Just don’t ask me to play any instruments while I’m recording the podcasts!
Hope you enjoy! Until next week…
Great podcast Anne. I really enjoyed listening to your story. I might start doing podcasts too, a much more personal approach to blogging xxx
Awww thanks Emma! Listening back I sound so boring. I’m probably a little more ‘excitable’ in real life. Maybe the thought of stumbling on my words made me nervous. Hopefully I’ll improve as I go. Would love to hear your great Essex voice.

You didn’t sound boring at all Anne, you did brilliantly and didn’t sound nervous. Well done, I look forward to hearing more xxx
Oh Anne, I love choko!! I have heard you can use choko in apple pie because it takes on other flavours!
Great first podcast – I learnt a lot about you.
You are an amazing & strong woman and very inspiring.

Awww thanks Belinda! That’s so nice of you to say.
Oh yes, I’ve had choko in every possible way. My dear mother and Nanna used it for everything. I just couldn’t take to it at all. I just cringe when I see one now which, thank goodness, isn’t all that often! lol Thanks for your comment Belinda.

My mum used to give us chokos all the time too! I loved them though, but I haven’t eaten them for years because I can’t remember how they’re meant to be cooked.
Oh Toni, you’re good. If I never see another choko in my life it will be too soon! lol

You have a lovely voice Anne! It’s really cool to actually get to hear how you sound. We definitely have some things in common – I do love cooking, baking and making things from scratch. What a great idea to do a weekly podcast – thank you so much for sharing it with us at the Hearth and Soul Hop.
Awww thanks April. I always imagine what your voice would be like, whether it would sound a little Canadian or a lot English. Maybe one day I’ll get to hear it. Thanks for your comment.
