If you would’ve asked me last year “had I ever won anything” I would’ve said no. I’ve never been really lucky. I take the occasional lottery ticket and win the odd $20 here and there (over about a 30 year time period). Or I’ve won the occasional prize on blogs say for hair care products or make up etc but this last month or so, I’ve won something nearly every week. A real change in luck to go with my new positive attitude.

To start the ball rolling, there was this delightful giveaway from Jo at The Country Life Experiment. I’ve had my eye on The Women’s Weekly The Retro Cookbook for a while now. It had my name written all over it. I love the retro recipes and delightful pictures throughout the book. This was a self sponsored prize by Jo to celebrate her blog’s anniversary and she awarded me the prize. Thank you so much Jo!
I’m forever trying to win one of the beautiful cookbooks often being given away on the SBS Food Facebook page. I’ve tried for so long and my ‘ship finally came in’ with this beautiful cookbook called“7000 Islands – A food portait of the Phillipines” by Yasmin Newman. It is the most gorgeous cookbook with beautiful recipes and images. I’m a huge fan of Asian cuisines and can’t wait to try some of these delicious Fillipino recipes for summer.

Then there was the two bottles of Paul Newman’s flavoured whole egg aioli from BBeingCool blog. Belinda hosted this fun giveaway for this gorgeous mayonnaise, one flavoured with smokey paprika and the other with basil and cracked pepper. They came in this cute little hessian bag. Needless to say I’ve been using this as a dip, its so delicious. Thanks Belinda!

And finally, I just found out I won this great product from Deb at Aspring Mum. A 7 day Kick Start program just in time for Spring and to give me a bit of a ‘kick start’. It couldn’t come at a better time. I’ve been really trying to watch what goes in my mouth and being mindful of my eating. I could do with a bit more of the ‘good green stuff’. Thank you so much Deb.
The poor delivery guy is getting tired of pulling up to my place but I don’t mind. I think those positive vibes I’ve been sending to the universe are finally paying off. There are so many good competitions out there on peoople’s blogs. You really should give them a try. I don’t enter all of them. Only if I happen to hear about it in time. With my change of luck I better get my lottery ticket!
