You know me and my ‘cook from scratch’ philosophy? One of the main reasons for that is why buy it in a packet if you can cook it just as well from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients. That is, until I tasted Tasty Bite. I was reluctant at first. I hate anything from a box, jar or bag but let me tell you, these easy meals in a sachet within the box are as good as anything you can cook yourself at home and ready in a minute or so in the microwave.
Tasty Bite products are all natural and free from additives and preservatives. They have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options as well as Kosher and Halal.
Corn and Dal Chowder |
They can be eaten as is or turned into other dishes such as a Pumpkin and Chickpea curry using the Bombay Potatoes or a Cabbage Dahl using the Jodhpur Yellow Dahl. These meals are delicious to eat on their own. With this cool winter weather upon us, I can think of nothing better than whipping one of these meals out of the pantry, zapping in the microwave and eating in less than a couple minutes. Perfect for the mid week lunch while the kids are at school or you’re at work. Bulk out with rice or naan bread.

Yum, I'll have some Bombay potatoes please 🙂
We must be opposites. My theory is why cook anything from scratch if you can buy it in a packet!! 🙂 Haven't seen these packets before though. -Aroha (#teamIBOT)

I would love to try the Agra peas and greens because I have no idea what that is or what it would taste like, but I love trying brand new foods that I haven't ever had before, I have found some of my favourite foods that way! I would make saffron rice to go with it I think!

Bombay Potatoes, would be a welcome change to boring mash!
Simple works here- I'd love to try the madras lentils served inside a crunchy gluten free pappadum! Yummy! With some mango chutney and mint sauce on top. All the better when the sauce runs down your hands!

I've earmarked the CURRIED MASH as ideal for the teenagers cooking for themselves… so it's probably going to be served with sausages, sausages, peas and sausages!

Well with kids who eat anything in pancake, fritter or burger form, I'd be hiding fish/tuna in patties made with the curried mash!!!! I reckon it would be pretty good too just with a side of good sausages!!
