I love it when mothers, who happen to be close personal friends of mine, are doing something for themselves like writing and publishing books. My Earth is written by my dear friend Kelly Reidy and illustrated by Hannah Munster and is the second of a series of books in the My Family Series.
My Family Series
The My Family series of books are books that touch on the differences within families and are written to promote acceptance, awareness and understanding of others.
They are written for an audience of children between the ages of 7 to 11 and teach them the importance of being yourself and that it is okay to be different.
My Mum
My Mum is the first in the My Family Series and is a fun and fictional narrative written through the eyes of a boy. Kelly has 2 young boys and a teenage daughter and understands the importance of educating, informing and nurturing your children.
This book promotes and celebrates being different and the impact parent’s actions have on impressionable minds.
My Earth
My Earth is the second book, so far, in the My Family Series and is a topic that both Hannah and Kelly are very passionate about.
They do everything they can to provide a sustainable future for their families. Through sharing their knowledge, Hannah and Kelly aim to teach children ways to keep themselves and the Earth healthy in this easy to read and understand book.
Now, more than ever, it is important to teach our children how precious our Earth is and by appreciating what we have and by sustaining that for future generations will enable us all to live on a healthy planet.
Kelly and Hannah have ensured that in the printing process recycled papers have been chosen to produce their books. Inside the book your children will learn the ‘tools’ you need to make small changes now to ensure our planet is protected and saved for future generations.
