During the week, I cleaned the bathroom and my toothbrush holder was looking a little grotty. After all, it was a metal pen holder from a stationery desk set. Anything will do, right? I splashed out and bought myself a new bathroom set for a bargain price of $6. I should’ve looked at some of these other nifty alternatives for toothbrush holders I saw on Pinterest.

Unusual mugsI just transformed my bathroom and kitchen counters with these. I used them toothbrush holders, q-tip holders and pencil holders. Who said they're just for tealights and flowers? $32.96

ForkToothbrush holders. Inspired by a pin that had you buy containers. I have more than my share of prescription bottles so I took the labels off, used Velcro to attach the bottles to the inside of the mirror door. Velcro so that you can take them off and clean them if needed. Then I used my favorite organizational tool, the label maker to put the names on.

Prescription tablet bottles velcroed to the wallDIY decorations for the boy’s bedrooms. I used wall decals and plain drinking glasses to make toothbrush holders. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on light switch covers, so I added some more decals for instant WOW!

I'm loving the individual towel and brush holder idea. My kids fight over the toothpaste and each want their own. They each say that the other one messes the tube up!
So far they've broken two towel rails so I'm wanting hooks for the towels now. So THAT ^ idea is perfect! Off to research it now!! 🙂

What a fun roundup. I dare not even look at our toothbrush holder, probably way gross 🙂 Maybe I'll get one of those brass fittings next time I'm at the hardware store!

This is my first time i visit here. I found so many entertaining stuff in your blog, especially its discussion. From the tons of comments on your articles, I guess I am not the only one having all the leisure here! Keep up the good work.

Many brass fittings contain lead, FYI. I'm going to try the test tube idea, but will also drill holes in the bottom for drainage.

I love all these alternatives! But the brass fittings really do rise above the rest. 😀 Were these used fittings? This would be a great way to repurpose fittings which cannot hold pipes as strongly as before. –>Gayle

I'm not sure Gayle but I think if you sterilised them and gave them a good scrub they'd be ok.
