Welcome to another week of Thriving on Thursdays. Hope you’ve had a lovely week since the last time you visited. I had the most wonderful weekend at the And Sew We Craft retreat at Stacey’s at The Gap, Warwick. Could you imagine it? From around 10am Friday until after lunch on Sunday, all I did was craft, eat, talk and repeat? It was so good. Before this I never actually knew that craft retreats were actually a ‘thing’ but I’m so glad they are because I can’t wait until I do it again. It was a wonderful opportunity to catch up on unfinished projects from (cough, cough) years ago plus start on some new, fun projects I’ve only ever dreamed of plus of course meeting new people and catching up with online friends in person.
Making “hexies” is one of those crafts I’ve been wanting to try for years. Using up fabric scraps by wrapping them around hexagonal pieces of paper/card. I just didn’t understand how it all worked (I could’ve googled it but it was way down on the list of my ‘things to do’). Anyway, I got shown by my lovely pal Nikki from @niks_days and I’m on my way to making some lovely new projects. The above is some cute Christmas fabric I had leftover from a couple years ago that will be made into hexies to embellish a table runner for
hopefully this Christmas. So many other projects to share but I’ll get around to those in the coming days. In the mean time, here’s my top 3 food and non food posts from last week. My apologies if I never got around to replying to comments last week. Just remember how much I appreciate you all visiting each week.
Thanks again to everyone who linked up last week. Always so many great posts and original ideas. If you were featured, feel free to grab a ‘featured’ button. Now, onto this week. Let’s see what you’ve been working on. Enjoy the rest of your week.
